A sales pitch is essentially meant to either introduce a product to a target group who knows nothing about it or a descriptive expansion of a product or service that the target group has already expressed interest in. the persuasive powers of the person engaging in making the sales pitch are put to rigorous testing to say the least. It has to excite the buyer and at the same time convince him too of the products prowess. Pitching the right product to the right target group at the right time with right features is vital for the success of the product. Effective sales pitch can make a difference between successful sales strategy and a business failure. The essentials of an ideal sales pitch are:
1. Keep the sales pitch crisp and simple so that the audience can easily grasp it.
2. Concentrate on WHAT as this is the thing that your target group should remember after you have finished.
3. Answer the "Why?" - why should they consider you / why are you better than your competitors?
4. Be clear and specific about what you expect from your target audience to do after you deliver your sales pitch.
5. Build Interest and excitement.
6. Create Desire.
7. Move Them To Action.
8. Be sure to follow up on the progress.
